Top Selection Barcelona is a curatorial project built around the direct selection of Manuel Giménez Alvarez, director of the Port Gallery.
It is not a simple collective exhibition, but a process of identification: 10 artists of exclusive interest to the gallery owner will be chosen from among all the participants, destined to enter his professional entourage and involved in international contexts.
This edition includes:
- VideoExhibition of the works at the Museu Picasso Barcelona (10 July 2026)
- Video exhibition of the works at the Port Gallery in Barcelona (10/17 July 2026)
- Delivery of the certificate of merit at the Museu Picasso Barcelona and photo shoot (only for the first 100 confirmed artists )
- Personalized critique signed by Roberto Litta
- Total prize pool of €6,000
The selected artists will be included in PitturiAmo’s Top Selection, entering a restricted circuit visible to gallery owners, curators and international collectors through a reserved portal.
The project is conceived as an evolutionary system: the artists admitted to this edition will constitute the founding nucleus of the Barcelona stage and will have priority in any institutional extensions of the project.
Top Selection Barcelona is a selective step within a structured artistic recognition process.
All the artists of the TOP SELECTION are included in a special website with reserved access for international gallery owners, thus having the opportunity to obtain contacts, discounts and exclusive invitations to the best art events, chosen and selected by the gallery owners themselves.

Who is the award for?
The Prize is aimed at painters, sculptors, photographers, professional or non-professional digital artists who wish to exhibit their art in a prestigious context to make themselves known and enter an international circuit, aimed at their promotion and enhancement.
It is possible to submit more works of art, on a FREE THEME, in the categories PAINTING, SCULPTURE, PHOTOGRAPHY, DIGITAL ART.

Writer, playwright and art critic, Roberto Litta has cultivated a deep passion for Italian history and art since high school.
Author of theatrical works (Tango Tales, 2009; Storia d’Italia in Disordine Perfetto, 2010; The Right Violence, 2017), reached the general public with the historical novel The Man Who Lives Twice, now in its third edition.
With Ten Tales, a collection of illustrated fairy tales, he has launched an itinerant project to promote literature and art among young people, addressing issues such as bullying and the educational emergency.
As an art critic, he stands out for an innovative approach that links works to the history, sociological conditions and philosophical currents of their time.
He has curated numerous exhibitions nationally and internationally and is the author and presenter of Arte Italia, a RAI television program dedicated to the Italian artistic heritage.
In 2024 he created the catalogue raisonné on the works of Nelvis Fornasin, contributing to one of the most important studies on Neapolitan painting, and chaired the Vigevano Biennale and chairs the jury of the Biennale della Riviera Romana.
Author and hosts of the Rai documentary series Memorie Italiane.
He hosted Italia viaggio nella bellezza for Rai Storia and presented the Artist of Europe Award in Venice.
In January 2026 , the Minister of Culture appointed him to the Board of Directors of the Praeneste and Gabii Museums and Archaeological Parks.

Is the Top Selection a competition open to everyone?
The application is open, the selection is not.
The submission of the work allows access to the evaluation, but does not guarantee admission to the final phase or entry into the Top Selection.
The Top Selection is a recognized status, not an automatic outcome.
Should I participate with more works?
In the context of the Top Selection Award, submitting multiple works is strongly recommended.
The selection does not evaluate a single isolated work, but the coherence and direction of the artistic research.
More works allow the curatorial committee and the gallery owner to better understand your language, the continuity of the path and the solidity of the vision.
What role does the gallery owner play in Barcelona?
The gallery owner involved for the Barcelona stage has a central role:
contributes to the selection and observes the artists according to a possible path of future enhancement, not a single exhibition.
