Moncada Museum – Caltanissetta

In the heart of Caltanissetta, the Moncada Museum stands as one of the most fascinating symbols of Sicilian Baroque. Built in the seventeenth century at the behest of Prince Louis William I Moncada, this historic palace enchants with the majesty of its architecture and the timeless atmosphere that pervades it.

Today, its large exhibition rooms welcome contemporary artists in a context that combines elegance, prestige and history. The high vaults, the marble floors and the solemnity of the rooms give each exhibition an aura of authority and scenic beauty.
Exhibiting at the Moncada Museum does not simply mean presenting one’s works: it means dialoguing with the memory of a place full of meaning, capable of elevating art to a profound cultural experience.

Each exhibition event organized in this space is part of a context of symbolic and artistic value.

For artists, curators and art lovers, Museo Moncada represents an exceptional setting, capable of giving prestige to each work and attracting a cultured, sensitive and involved public. Here, each exhibition is transformed into a meeting between past and present, between ancient stone and contemporary creativity.

Your Art becomes an object of study

The works of the participating artists become the subject of study, analysis and critical analysis within an active museum education project, aimed at middle and high schools and the Academies of Fine Arts of Sicily.
Through guided tours and moments of discussion curated by specialists in the field, art is transformed into a tool for knowledge and dialogue with the new generations.

The experience is part of a didactic model that has already been effectively tested, capable of relating contemporary artistic language with the world of education, activating attention, curiosity and participation.

Everything takes place inside the Palazzo Moncada in Caltanissetta, in an architectural context of strong historical value and Baroque suggestion, whose scenic atmosphere contributes to making the experience immersive and highly engaging.

The whole project returns a model of museum education that combines exhibition value and educational function, transforming the presence of the artist into a shared, intense and significant cultural experience.

Video Exhibition at the Moncada Museum<br />

All the works also in Video Exhibition

All the works presented at the Moncada Museum Award 2026 will also be visible through a permanent video exhibition set up inside the museum rooms on a large 70″ professional monitor.

This will allow visitors to learn about the entire artistic selection of the Prize, offering each participant a wider exhibition presence and a greater opportunity for visibility within the museum itinerary.

How many artists will present the project on stage?

All the artists participating with the Authorial Dossier will have the opportunity to present their project on stage.

Is it mandatory to present a complete authorial project (5 works)?

No. It is the artist’s choice.

The Authorial Dossier (5 works) guarantees more editorial space, a dedicated sequence in the video exhibition and priority for the presentation on stage.

Are the prizes in cash?

Yes.

1st Prize € 3,000

2nd Prize € 2,000

3rd Prize € 1000

The PitturiAmo staff

Staff PitturiAmo 2025 + Roberto Litta

PitturiAmo is a cultural structure made up of a heterogeneous and coordinated team, in which different skills work together with a common goal: to offer artists reliable interlocutors, concrete tools and credible contexts for professional growth.

The staff brings together specialized figures in the curatorial, editorial, organizational and consulting fields, supported by advanced technological systems, including automated response tools based on artificial intelligence, designed to ensure timeliness, clarity and continuity in the dialogue with the artists.

Technology does not replace the relationship, but makes it more efficient and accessible, leaving people the time and space for what requires listening, evaluation and responsibility.

Each PitturiAmo project is the result of a structured, often invisible work, made up of analysis, comparison and attention to detail. Nothing is improvised, nothing is left to chance.

Behind every selection, publication or award there is a system that supports, coordinates and protects the value of the work and the artistic path.

PitturiAmo does not offer shortcuts or easy promises.

It provides a team – human and technological – that works with seriousness, competence and respect, at the service of artists and their recognition over time.
